As the Founder and inspiration behind HEART OF THE HOME STYLING & DESIGNS, meet Kathryn Lackey, a twenty-year seasoned designer, entrepreneur, and author. Her love for kitchen design defines her core business and inspires her passion for real estate profitability through design and home staging. From her corporate roots as Media Analyst to District Manager, Kathryn employs her vast experience in design, real estate, and management to serve each client’s unique needs at the highest level.
In her first life, Kathryn was a wife and mother, and professional media planner in the corporate advertising space. While her days were filled with caregiving, data and strategy, her heart longed for a greater purpose following the loss of her husband after twenty years following their family’s relocation to Dallas. She then devoted herself to raising their two children while simultaneously entering the design world. Amid her busy life as a single mom, she managed her parent’s estate of rental properties until her mom’s death in 2009. While clearly changing her life’s direction, her journey shaped her future fueling a desire to create beauty as her chosen therapy.
With a passion for crafting beautiful spaces, Kathryn encompasses her diverse background and experiences, dedicated to making all homes an experience proudly called HOME.
