In an Instant, Everything Changed…
Do you remember not so long ago? It was March 2020, and I will living in Dallas at that time. I had just completed a vacant staging on a little condo in the city, and it was time to destage. Covid-19 became a reality, so we were taking every precaution wearing gloves and sanitizing everything as we exited the apartment.
Like others, I sheltered in place, unnerved each day for the news ahead. Stores closed, people lost jobs, and friends became sick with Covid. My neighbor next door passed away. I was quarantined from my children living just 30 minutes away with a Dallas County lockdown. While grocery chains remained available to shopping as “essential,” paper products became scarce as the masses stocked up, uncertain of the days ahead.
Forced to spend Easter Sunday church services followed by family dinner on our new communication pipeline, Zoom, I suddenly felt clueless at the time how this pandemic would affect my design business. However, I knew in my heart that moving forward wasn’t an option, it was a calling. I knew I wanted more in every sense for my next chapter in life, pandemic or not, and helping others transition into their new homes was a passion that would change my life forever. Even more shockingly, I had no idea of just how much resilience I would build following my calling while rebranding my business in my new land of Nashville, all to define the life I wanted to live for myself and helping others to transition within or to a new home through strategic restyling & home staging.
Watch as I go down Memory Lane and introduce you to my personal experience remodeling and staging my nearly 50 year old house for top dollar during a pandemic…
