As a DIY’er, making your home photo ready for listing pictures does not have to be daunting. You may already know which tasks need to be completed, but your best focus of energies will be determined by your realtor.

I’ve focused on the fixed assets of the home, and added value with old door replacements, new backsplash, new paint, and mid-grade bedroom carpet.

Priority #1 in presenting your home to buyers:  Grab them at the curb with an inviting presentation that includes color, texture, and style.  Bring them from the car to your front door, and visually invite them to explore more values in your home. 

Let’s talk basics. Lighting is a fundamental “make it or break it” for any pictures, and especially for online home listing photos. This is the time to walk through the house and replace old light bulbs with maximum wattage soft white light bulbs between 2,700-3,500 lumens.

Relocating to a new place is HARD WORK!!! It’s even harder during a worldwide pandemic when you are trying to stay safe amidst all the tasks required of listing a home and getting it sold.
