Staged At Last…

I remember a staging job I went on last year when I was assisting a fellow stager in Dallas.  This was a high end home, and in 2 hours, our task was to make it photo ready.  The customer wanted to DIY their staging preparations, and had all their homework detailed for them during their consultation.  When we got there, even basic decluttering details had not been performed, and we stagers were in a flurry to get everything done by photography time scheduled for that later day.  As you can imagine, some tasks just didn’t get done.

As a DIY’er, making your home photo ready for listing pictures does not have to be daunting.   You may already know which tasks need to be completed, but your best focus of energies will be determined by your realtor.  The most successful realtors refer a home stager on their team to assist sellers with a priority list, helpful knowledge, and vendor providers to increase productivity and remain within seller timelines and budgets.   Your selling team will help you navigate the journey of your home’s sale bypassing side roads that will inevitably make that journey much longer, and often, more expensive.  If you are hiring a professional realtor, expect professional resources and processes to help you move forward with the profitable sale of your home.  And remember, “You only get one chance to make a positive first impression.”

In my next video, my work is nearly done as I stage the house for photography.
